CW61100B / CW61125B / CW61140B / CW61160B series horizontal lathes have two maximum workpiece load capacities: 6 tons and 10 tons. Designed for various turning operations, they can machine end faces, outer diameters and inner bores of different workpieces, as well as metric, inch, module and diametral‑pitch threads.
The top slide can independently carry out automatic turning of short tapers. It can also work together with longitudinal feed to automatically turn long tapers. Furthermore, the machine supports processes including drilling, trepanning and boring. Delivering high power and high rigidity, the machine tool enables thread cutting with cemented‑carbide tools for machining various ferrous and non‑ferrous metals.
The 10‑ton load‑capacity models adopt a combination of rectangular and mountain‑type guideways with a guideway width of 970 mm, providing excellent stability and rigidity. The bed guideway surfaces are treated with medium‑frequency quenching followed by grinding. Equipped with large‑size high‑strength spindle bearings, the spindle assembly features a large and wide‑sized structure. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) soft strips are bonded to the saddle guideways, which effectively extends the service life of the guideways.
C61125 / C61160 / C61180 / C61200 heavy‑duty horizontal lathes offer a 16‑ton workpiece load capacity. They are fitted with rectangular guideways, and the spindle adopts a precision rolling‑bearing assembly with a three‑support structure.
